About Sun Prairie Mountain Bike Team

The Sun Prairie MTB team welcomes 6th–12th grade students from both Sun Prairie East High School and Sun Prairie West High School and the three middles schools in Sun Prairie (Central Heights, Patrick Marsh, & Prairie View). As a parent-run, volunteer-driven team, we're committed to growing the sport of mountain biking and building a strong community riders in the Sun Prairie Area School District.

Student-athletes who live in the SPASD but attend Sacred Hearts or other private schools, virtual schools, or home schools can also join our team!

Where We Ride

We built the trails at Sheehan Park and that's where train. We venture to a couple private trail systems like Englewood Farm in Fall River and Trek Trails in Waterloo. Plus, we'll do some exploration out to other local trail systems as the season progresses … all excellent local trail networks that challenge and inspire riders at every level.

Season

Our season runs July through October, with riders competing in Wisconsin NICA league events. Generally, we practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30–7:30PM. We'll adjust practice times as the evening shifts in the fall.
